How to send emails using the CharityJob Recruiter ATS
Need to communicate with a single or multiple candidates during the hiring selection process? That’s easy! Simply watch the video below or continue to read on.
How to send an email to a candidate
Simply click on the email icon in the top left corner of the candidate’s profile window. All replies will be sent straight to your inbox (the email address that you used to create or sign into your recruiter account).
How to send a bulk email to multiple candidates
There are going to be times when you need to communicate with several applicants in one go. You can do this by selecting all the candidates you wish to message and clicking on the 'Send email' button in the top left of the pipeline stage.
This feature is particularly useful if you need to reject candidates or inform them that they have been shortlisted.
Each candidate will receive a separate email and all other email addresses will be hidden in order to ensure GDPR compliance.
How to personalise your emails with placeholders
Sometimes it can be painfully obvious to candidates that you’re sending a bulk email. That’s why we’ve enabled a personalisation feature that allows you to use placeholder text that automatically populates the candidate’s name and specific details about the role (job title, organisation name). That way, what the applicant receives feels more personalised and unique to them. Just copy and paste the placeholders into your email and you should be good to go!
How to preview a personalised email before you send it
It’s always good practice to preview an email before you hit ‘send’. Once you’ve added in the placeholders, you can check what the final email will look like by pressing the ‘Preview email’ button. If you’re sending this email to several candidates, you can see what it would look like for each recipient by clicking the ‘previous’ and ‘next’ arrows at the bottom of the email pop up while in preview mode.
