If you want to reduce bias when hiring, as well as attract more candidates, you should use anonymous recruitment.

You can switch this on by clicking here when you post a job using the CharityJob Apply application method.

A badge will then appear on your job advert to let candidates know that their applications will be reviewed anonymously. When anonymous recruitment is switched on, this is how you’ll see your applications. Applicant names are replaced with pseudonyms inspired by colours and different types of food. First names, surnames, email addresses and any candidate photos are hidden from applications.

A candidates’ personal information will only be revealed to you after you have emailed them via the CharityJob Recruiter ATS. This reduces bias related to things like gender or ethnic background in the first part of the hiring process, before you’ve shortlisted candidates.
