Understanding and Managing your Organisation Profile

Updated over 7 months ago

What is an organisation profile?

An organisation profile on CharityJob is your charity’s dedicated page to display your brand to potential candidates. It allows you to showcase your mission, history, values, benefits and all live job openings: both paid and volunteer positions. It serves as a comprehensive representation of your organisation to attract candidates who are aligned with your values and goals.

How do I create an organisation profile?

It’s easy: you can create your organisation profile in just a few clicks. When posting a new job with us, you’ll be prompted to select or create a profile. As soon as you click on ‘create’ your organisation profile is ready for use.

Alternatively, you can create it in the ‘organisation profile’ section page in your logged in area. To do this, please click on the ‘Settings’ tab on your recruiter dashboard and then select ‘organisation profile’ from the drop-down menu. Follow the prompts and as soon as your profile is created, it will be ready for use.

How do I use my organisation profile?

When posting a job, you’ll be asked to complete the ‘organisation name’ field, and here you can select your organisation profile. The job you’re posting will automatically be linked to the profile you select at this stage and will go live displaying your organisation’s logo. If you prefer, you can select and attach a different logo by ticking the relevant box during the posting process.

How do I ensure that my organisation profile isn't misused by other people?

We take security very seriously at CharityJob.

You have full control of who can post jobs using your organisation profile by defining your allowed Domains. To do this, please click on the ‘Settings’ tab, select ‘organisation profile’ from the drop-down menu and then click on the padlock icon on the top right-hand side of your screen. This will allow you to review your current allowed domains and make any changes.

Allowed domains are specific email domains that you authorise to use your organisation profile when posting jobs. This ensures that only people with email addresses matching your allowed domains can use your profile, regardless of whether they are part of your account or another account (e.g. your organisation might have multiple posting accounts with us).

When you create it, your organisation profile will be assigned some default allowed domains (your website and your email domain if different from your website). However, you can add as many allowed domains as you like.

You don’t need to add domains of advertising or recruitment agencies because they’ve already been vetted by us to post on behalf of any organisation.

Please note: if you remove all allowed domains, then there will be no restrictions and anyone will be able to use your organisation profile.

Which jobs will be displayed on my organisation profile?

All live paid and volunteer jobs posted on behalf of your organisation will be visible on your profile. If you work with agencies, they will also be able to use your profile to post jobs.

How can an organisation profile help me?

Having a solid organisation profile is beneficial for three main reasons:

  1. Great brand visibility: It allows you to effectively showcase your brand, which helps attract more suitable candidates who are passionate about your cause.

  2. Candidate engagement: Candidates can subscribe to updates from your organisation profile. Whenever you post a new job, subscribed candidates will receive a notification. This increases the likelihood that you’ll receive applications from those who are genuinely interested in working for your specific organisation.

  3. High level of security: Only people who work at your organisation, or others you allow, can post jobs on behalf of your organisation (allowed domains). This ensures that your brand can’t be ‘stolen’ to attract candidates.
